at the Millennial Festival, unaware of what it will lead to, and the
hardships that come ahead. The pendant that she wears around her
neck starts the whole time-travel ordeal in Chrono Trigger.
Ultimate Weapon-Valkerie
To obtain the Valkerie, find the Northern Ruins in 600 and 1000 AD in
Choras island. Before you do this, make sure you got the Glowing
Pendant from 12000 BC first(the one that lets you open those rune doors).
First go to 1000 AD and head into the Inn, and speak to one of the
drinkers. One of them will let you borrow his tools to fix up the
ruins, but his wife has them. So go to his house and take the tools
from his wife. Now head back to 600 AD and back to the Cafe, and
speak to the man in the table to give him the tools. Now head to one
of the houses, and speak to him and watch him assemble his team of
engineers. They will head out to the Northern ruins to fix it.
However, once you go in, they will tell you that there are monsters in the
way, so you need to clear them out. Head to the right and kill off
all the skeletons you can. Go back to the engineer's house, and keep
repeating the process of repairing and killing off monsters until the
entire ruins are restored. If you bring Frog along, you can also get
his ultimate weapon(see Frog section). Anyway, in the end of the
castle, there are three of those rune treasure chests. This is
important. Examine them, but do not open them. After you have
examined them, head back to 1000 AD. The items inside will have
transformed into more powerful items, and one of them is the Valkerie.
